Patsy White and Ms. Barbara Clement-Wilson of St. Charles Parish Schools collaborated with the Department of Recreation and Families Helping Families of Bayou Land to join in the family fun during the annual Shooting Stars basketball game.  Organizers Shooting Stars is inclusive of all kids regardless of their abilities. 

     Ms. Clement-Wilson and Ms. White collaborated with event organizers and Families Helping Families to provide outreach to family members of students with disabilities.  While students played the game, parents received information regarding services, resources and personal development opportunities offered by the school district as well as Families Helping Families.  Gift baskets of books were given to several families on the behalf of the school district.  After the game, awards and snack were given to the participants before a visit with Santa Claus. 

     The Shooting Stars event will be remembered as an event of fun and information for students and their families.
